All products from Automation Dr. Nix GmbH & Co. KG, referred to as Automation, are carefully inspected, tested, and subject to our strict internal quality control.
For handheld devices and probes (hereinafter referred to as devices), Automation provides a warranty under the following conditions:
1. The buyer's statutory warranty rights under the purchase contract with the seller remain unaffected by this warranty.
2. The statutory warranty under German law is provided free of charge.
3. The warranty period is 2 years.
4. In the event of a defect, it must be demonstrably due to a material or manufacturing fault and occur within the warranty period.
5. The warranty period begins upon delivery to the first purchaser.
6. The following are excluded from the warranty:
- Accessory items (test foils and calibration plates) and demonstration units.
- Parts subject to normal or other natural wear and tear, as well as any other defects resulting from normal or other natural wear and tear;
- Defects in devices resulting from failure to follow the operating instructions in the manuals (e.g., housing damage, lost battery compartment covers, damaged or contaminated probes and sockets, damage from leaked battery acid, worn rubies), improper use, extreme environmental conditions, improper operating conditions, overloading, or insufficient maintenance or care;
- Defects in devices caused by the use of accessories, supplementary, or replacement parts that are not original Automation parts;
- Modifications or additions to devices.
- Devices that have been completely or partially disassembled; as well as
- Minor deviations in the device that do not affect its value or usability.
7. The warranty claim must be made within the warranty period. For this purpose, the affected device must be presented or sent in with a copy of the invoice and a description of the defect.

9. If you send the device to Automation yourself, you are responsible for the shipping costs and the risk of transport.
10. Remediation of a defect recognized by us as covered by the warranty will be carried out by either repairing the defective device free of charge or replacing it with a successor or alternative model at our discretion. Replaced devices become our property.
11. No claims other than the right to remedy defects in the device as stated in these warranty conditions are established by our warranty. In particular, you are not entitled to receive a replacement device for the duration of the repair.
12. Warranty services do not extend or pause the warranty period for the device.
13. Assignment of claims under this warranty is excluded.
14. Used devices are excluded from the warranty.
